Your data is stored securely in a hosted PostgreSQL database provided by Supabase. Access to your data is restricted to authorised server-side processes only. Direct public access to the database is explicitly denied.
All data transmission between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Our API endpoints validate and sanitise all input before storage.
4. Data Retention
- Contact enquiries: Active enquiries are retained while being handled. Once resolved or archived, records are eligible for deletion 30 days after resolution.
- Early access registrations: Registrations are retained throughout the pre-launch period. If you request removal (unsubscribe), your record is eligible for deletion 30 days after your unsubscribe request.
5. Third-Party Services
SahelEnergy uses the following third-party services to operate this website:
- Vercel — website hosting and serverless function execution. Form submissions are processed by Vercel serverless functions before being passed to the database.
- Supabase — secure PostgreSQL database storage for contact enquiries and early access registrations.
- Upstash — distributed Redis service used for server-side rate limiting. When you submit a form, a salted hash is derived from your network address and sent to Upstash to count recent submissions. The raw network address is not sent to Upstash by this feature; only the derived value is transmitted.
- Resend — email delivery service used to send internal notifications to the SahelEnergy team when a new contact enquiry or early access registration is received. Notification emails may include the submitter's name, email address, inquiry category, and message content, so that the team can respond to your enquiry. This information is used solely for internal team notification and is not used by Resend for marketing or profiling.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Cookies and Tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics trackers, or advertising pixels. We do not track your browsing behaviour across pages.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Withdraw from the early access programme at any time.
