1. Who is responsible
SahelEnergy is the organisation responsible for the enquiry and account information collected through this public website. This policy uses the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable Nigerian data-protection requirements as its reference. It is not a legal certification or a guarantee of compliance.
Privacy and general contact: sahelenergy01@gmail.com
Telephone: 07072839813
Business address: No. 22A, AA Master Complex, Canteen Area, Gusau, Nigeria
2. Information collected
The sign-up form collects your full name or business contact person’s name, email address, optional telephone number, customer category or business/organisation name and category, state and optional Local Government Area (LGA). The Contact form collects your name, email address, enquiry category and message. Both record privacy consent, the consent timestamp and the time the submission was received.
The submission service also keeps a keyed hash derived from your normalised email address, an attempt count and a rate-limit window timestamp to limit misuse. This counter does not store your raw email address. Please avoid including passwords, payment details, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive information in your message.
3. Why we process information
We use the information you supply to manage expressions of interest in SahelEnergy, distinguish customer interest from potential business participation, respond to general enquiries and maintain appropriate records of consent and requests. We process form information with the consent you give when submitting. The submission service uses validation and limited anti-spam records to protect against misuse.
Submitting does not create a marketplace account, register a member, approve a vendor, verify an installer or establish a partnership. The forms do not subscribe you to marketing emails or guarantee participation.
4. Storage and service providers
Form submissions are stored in the dedicated Lovable Cloud database used by this public website. This is separate from the existing Laravel marketplace; the public forms do not send submissions to that marketplace database. Hosting and database service providers support the operation of this website.
We do not represent that processing occurs exclusively in Nigeria or that service providers cannot access information. Provider access arrangements, processing locations, international-transfer safeguards and backup retention require confirmation before public launch. Contact SahelEnergy if you need further information about these arrangements.
5. Access and security
Inputs are validated on the server as well as in the forms. Required consent, permitted categories and field-size limits are checked before saving. A hidden anti-spam field and an email-based submission limit help reduce misuse. Submitted records are not displayed to visitors: database permissions and Row Level Security restrict direct public insertion, reading, modification and deletion. The website uses a validated, insert-only server submission path; privileged credentials are not supplied to the browser.
These measures reduce risk but do not guarantee security or make a breach impossible.
6. Retention
Contact messages will ordinarily be deleted or irreversibly anonymised no later than 30 days after receipt, except where a longer period is required by applicable law or is otherwise lawfully justified. Any exception must be limited to the necessary information and period, with its reason documented.
The active submission database uses an automatic hourly deletion job. Records become eligible for deletion at 29 days and 23 hours, so normal hourly operation removes them within 30 days. Expired 15-minute anti-spam windows are also removed by this job. No longer-retention hold is currently implemented; all eligible records in these tables are deleted.
This is not an unconditional guarantee: scheduling failures could delay deletion and require correction. The job deletes active database records; it does not establish erasure from provider backups or copies outside these tables. Backup lifetimes and the handling of any correspondence or lawful exception must be confirmed by SahelEnergy before public launch.
7. Your rights and requests
Contact sahelenergy01@gmail.com to ask whether we process your personal data, request access or applicable corrections, deletion, withdrawal of consent, restriction, objection, portability or other rights available under applicable law. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns your data.
Requests are considered under applicable legal requirements; not every request can necessarily be granted. You may also raise a concern with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. This website does not provide an automated self-service privacy-request process.
8. Cookies, diagnostics and external resources
No visitor analytics or advertising-tracking integration has been added to the public website application. The pages load Manrope fonts from Google Fonts and branding images through the asset-hosting service; these requests disclose ordinary connection information to the providers. The application includes platform error-reporting hooks for diagnosing failures.
This statement concerns the inspected application, not a guarantee about all hosting-provider logs, cookies or editor-preview behaviour. Provider-level cookies, diagnostic retention and processing require confirmation before launch. No analytics or tracking service has been introduced as part of this policy.
9. Policy changes
SahelEnergy may update this policy when the website’s data practices or applicable requirements change. The effective date displayed above will identify the current version.
